On the occasion of “World Health Day” i.e. on 07 April 2016, One day Training of Teachers was organised by ADRA India under the project Dettol-Banega Swachh India. The theme for this training programme was “Hygiene Education in Primary Schools” which involved 50 teachers of 25 schools of Kashi Vidyapeeth Block, Varanasi. As part of the Dettol –Banega Swachh India(BSI) campaign which is aimed at bringing behavioural change on hygiene among various stakeholders and is being supported by RB India. In starting of project will cover 500 primary schools in 3 districts of Uttar Pradesh viz, Varanasi (200), Etawah (100), Kannauj (100) and 1 district of Bihar viz, Bhagalpur (100).

Under this training of One day, Our Trainer Mr Ranjit Singh trained about the five modules of hygiene i.e.  Personal Hygiene, Hygiene at home, Hygiene at school, Hygiene in Illness, Hygiene in neighborhood. Moreover, this event focused on activity based training which brought both interest and learning together. In addition to, drawing competition was also organized for the primary students of BRC, Kesharipur themed on “Cleanliness”. Students presented their creativity in different forms and for their immense creativity and curiosity; chocolates were also distributed to them.

Shri B B Singh, Chief Medical Officer, Varanasi was the chief guest of this event who spoke about the importance of cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene. He also discussed about the way to keep us healthy. He said to achieve anything we need to be mentally healthy and healthy mind resides only in healthy body.
